Marist Brothers High School last week hosted its first in-house careers exposition.
The students and teachers of Marist Brothers were enlightened on the different career paths they can take when they complete their studies.
The career expo not only allowed the students to better understand their career choices when entering the workforce, they also had the chance to talk with university representatives who explained the different courses and programs offered in Fiji.
The Ministry of Education in a press release highlighted that the expo was in collaboration between the Ministry and the school.
“Organised by the Mother’s Club of Marist, the event aimed to connect students with career and academic opportunities allowing them to explore future pathways while participating in sports,” the Ministry said.
The event according to the Ministry was attended by students from Year 9 to Year 13 and the exhibitors included Fiji Customs and Revenue, Fiji Competition and Consumer Commission, Advance Aviation, the University of the South Pacific, Fiji National University, the Fiji Police Force, University of Fiji, ANZ, Maui Spa, the Ministry of Justice, the Ministry of Employment, Productivity, and Industrial Relations, LTA, and the Ministry of Education.
The expo was held at the school’s hall.
