The alleged murderer of Dr Isireli Biumaitotoya, Ratu Peceli Ravolo, appeared at the Nadi Magistrates Court at midday today charged with one count of murder, contrary to sectiom 237 )a) (b) (c) of the Crimes Act 2009.
He appeared before Magistrate Semi Babitu under heavy police guard.
He’s case has been transferred to the Lautoka High Court and adjourned to September 24.
He will be held in remand at the Natabua Corrections facility.
He is alleged to have murdered Dr Isireli last week inside his house in Namaka.
Ratu Peceli was known to the late Dr Isireli, and a viral video showing him attempting to trespass into Dr Isireli’s compound was made public two years ago.
