Ba resident Afroz Ali appeared at the Nadi Magistrates Court this afternoon in relation to the alleged theft of a number of religious statues and items from private prayer houses in the Nadi area.
Mr Ali is charged with three counts of criminal trespass, three counts of theft and one count of breach of suspended sentence.
He was denied bail and further remanded in custody until the next mention date on September 18.
