A 24-year-old labourer has been charged for the alleged murder of an elderly caretaker in Viwawa, Navua.
According to police, the accused has been charged with one count of murder.
“The accused allegedly assaulted the victim and stabbed him several times before robbing him, and left him in a drain where his body was discovered the next day,” confirmed spokesperson Ana Naisoro.
The accused will be produced at the Navua Magistrates Court tomorrow.
