SUVA lawyers Tanya Waqanika and Samuela Savu have been reminded to ensure their client, former acting commissioner of the Fiji Corrections Service Sevuloni Naucukidi, is present when his case is called.
Magistrate Shageeth Somaratne issued the reminder after Mr Naucukidi failed to appear in court yesterday for a pretrial conference.
Mr Naucukidi is facing one count of criminal intimidation allegedly committed in July of 2025.
The charge was laid following consultations with the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions.
It is alleged that in July last year, Mr Naucukidi threatened a member of his support staff.
The court heard that both parties agreed to take additional time to finalise the pre-trial conference minutes before they are furnished.
Mr Naucukidi is scheduled to reappear on January 19.
