Macuata Rugby Union has signed a sponsorship deal of $30,000 with FMF Foods Ltd for a period of three years.
The provincial rugby team, now known as the FMF Macuata Rugby team has returned to the Skipper Cup challenge after five years.
Company marketing manager Maria Kumar said they had partnered with other sporting organisations over the past years and Macuata rugby was an addition because they believed in assisting players achieve their dreams through sports.
Union executive Saimoni Cabelawa described the sponsorship as a much-needed support for their players.
