The Lutubula Trophy makes its return to the Eastern Zone Deans competition and will be contested in the final of the under-18 grade this afternoon.
The trophy was once the winning prize of victory and supremacy among schools in the Eastern Zone and will be contested once more when Queen Victoria School will face Ratu Kadavulevu School in the U18 final.
In a Facebook post recently, the Eastern Zone Secondary Schools Rugby Union announced the trophy’s return and acknowledged the long rivalry between the two boarding schools.
“These two proud institutions, rich in rugby history and tradition, will battle not just for glory – but for honour, pride and legacy,” the post stated.
Meanwhile, the finals and playoffs for the Eastern Zone will take place at the Nukuvuto Ground in Tailevu, located at Queen Victoria School.
Entry fees are $10 for adults and students in outings, $5 for students in uniform, $2 for boarders, primary school students and children under the age of 12.
