The Land Transport Authority (LTA) welcomed their new board of directors at the Valelevu branch on Friday.
The new board comprised six esteemed professionals who bring a wealth of knowledge and experience from a variety of backgrounds to continue driving the strategic direction of the LTA.
The newly-appointed members are: LTA new board chairman Inosi Kuridrani, Lui Naisara, Kiran Khatri, Sekove Tuilakeba, Rajendra Prasad and Etuate Koroi.
In a statement, the authority stated the new board would play a crucial role in shaping the LTA’s policies and initiatives to address the challenges of urbanisation and mobility needs of all people.
“As your incoming board, it is our responsibility to coordinate the transformation to a sustainable, future oriented and focused land transportation system for Fiji,” said new board chairman Inosi Kuridrani.
“Our success is strongly dependent on all of you present here today.
“It is our belief that with strategic guidance focused on transformation, innovation and sustainability, we as your new board can better equip you to carry out your functions with greater efficiency and customer focus.”
Mr Kuridrani thanked staff members for their commitment to the organisation.
