Fiji will record the lowest tides this weekend, says the Fiji Meteorological Department.
Fiji MET says beachgoers and those living along the shores will notice a very low tidal water level.
“It is predicted that the low tide at Lautoka wharf at around 12.40pm on June 25th and Suva Wharf at 1.50pm on June 26 will be the lowest astronomical tide for the year at both sites, respectively,” states Fiji MET.
“Tide height of about 0.23 meters is predicted for Lautoka Wharf and 0.24 meters for Suva wharf with respect to tide gauge zero.”
