‘There are a lot of talent in Fiji, said Bollywood film music composer Javed Khan, of the famed Javed-Mohsin composer duo.

Khan is in the country with plans to set-up a multi-million dollar recording studio in Fiji.

While speaking during a media conference at the Sheraton Fiji Golf & Beach Resort on Friday, he said Fiji was a magical place to be.

“This place grows on you and there is some kind of magnetism and creativity here,” he said.

Khan said alongside the chairman of North America Group of Companies Jacob Singh, they had been planning to set-up a studio for the past four years.

“Now we are here and it is time to put in action whatever we had planned.”

He said there was no place in the world where he found hotel staff singing so melodiously like what he found in Fiji.

“They were singing for someone but the co-ordination and the harmony was amazing. It was pure magic and set the mood.”
