FOR 27-year-old Anaseini Rabuku Loiloi of Naduru Rd, Kuku, Nausori, the Hibiscus Festival is an opportunity to champion a cause she holds close to her heart.

Carrying the sash of Miss Social Advocacy Network, she works as a machine operator at Narsey’s Plastic  Industries Ltd in Laucala Beach.

She is determined to use her platform to highlight social issues affecting women and youth in Fiji.

“I am passionate about using my voice to advocate for social issues that matter in our community,” Ms Loiloi said.

“I believe beauty has a purpose, and through Hibiscus, I aim to show that advocacy and compassion are the
true essence of a queen.”

A high school graduate, she lists singing and communication as her special skills.

She is fluent in both iTaukei and English, which she believes will help her connect with people from different backgrounds.

Her decision to join the Hibiscus Festival stems from a personal goal.

“I want to develop confidence in public and build connections that can make a difference.”

Her simple pleasures include spending time at the beach, watching movies, reading, and socialising.

Though this will be her first Hibiscus appearance, she carries with her a strong sense of purpose.

She said her aim is to show that advocacy and compassion are the true essence of a queen.
