THE Labasa football side has taken the lead in the Extra Premier League after a convincing 4-1 win against Lautoka yesterday.

Solomon Islander Jimson Abana scored a brace for Labasa while Rusiate Doidoi and Jone Lalagavesi scored a goal each.

The win sees Labasa climb to the top of the standings with seven points.

Nadi has moved to second spot after a 2-nil over Nadroga at Lawaqa Park yesterday.

Nadi, Navua and Nasinu have six points each.

In an upset yesterday, Nasinu edged Ba 3-2 at the Uprising Sports Complex in Pacific Harbour.

In the lone match played on Saturday, Tavua held Suva to a 1-all draw at Garvey Park.
