THE celebration of Diwali has brought together the Standard Concrete Tailevu Rugby Football Union and people across Fiji in a shared sense of joy and community spirit.

Union President Joseph Rodan Snr has highlighted how the essence of Diwali aligns with the core values of sport and unity that permeate the Tailevu Rugby family.

In his message, Rodan emphasised how Diwali serves as a powerful reminder of the strengths derived from togetherness, teamwork, and resilience, qualities that are integral to the fabric of the Tailevu Rugby community both in the sporting arena and beyond.

“On behalf of the Standard Concrete Tailevu Rugby Football Union, I wish all our Hindu brothers and sisters a blessed and joyous Diwali. Your unwavering support and collaboration continue to strengthen the bond that unites our rugby community,” said Rodan.

He further added that the Tailevu Rugby Union is proud to work closely with members of the Hindu community who have contributed significantly to the Union’s development programs, including grassroots rugby, player welfare, and community partnerships.

“As Christians, we join hands with our Hindu brothers and sisters in celebrating this special occasion. Diwali reminds us of the importance of peace, respect, and inclusiveness, principles that guide our mission as we work together towards achieving the Tailevu Rugby Business Plan 2025–2030.”

Meanwhile, the side is currently preparing for the 2025 Skipper Cup semi-finals that will be held at the HFC Bank Stadium in Suva tomorrow.
