Lelean Memorial School marked a significant milestone last Friday with the official opening of a new three-storey classroom block and gymnasium by Minister for Rural and Maritime Development and Disaster Management Sakiasi Ditoka.

Students, staff, and former scholars gathered at the school’s Davuilevu campus to celebrate the launch of the $80,000 Waisale Serevi Gymnasium — named after Fiji’s iconic “King of Sevens”.

The new gym is fitted with changing rooms, showers, and toilet facilities for both male and female students, filling a long-standing gap in the school’s sports infrastructure.

Alongside it, the newly-constructed classroom block features six modern classrooms, each designed for up to 40 students and two teacher planning rooms equipped with 12 desks to support mentoring and collaborative work.
