THE National Cricket Women’s League is set to resume its final round of pool games tomorrow for Suva and Nadi players, with the finals scheduled for next week Saturday.
The Suva competition will take place at Albert Park, while the Nadi competition will be held at Denarau Oval.
Defending champions Nausori Majidez currently lead pool 1 after winning both of their pool games in December 2025.
They will face Moce in their final pool game tomorrow. Meanwhile, last season’s runner-up, Black Ducks, are leading pool 2 and will play against Ono-i-Lau Sixers this week to determine the pool topper at the end of the pool rounds.
In the Nadi Women’s League, Saunivalu Hurricanes and Nadi Development will battle it out this week to determine the top team heading into the finals next week.
The top two sides from the Suva and Nadi Leagues will compete in an East vs West local derby at Denarau Oval on 24 January.
Cricket Fiji CEO, Sitiveni Rokoro, mentioned that there will be a national U19 women’s trial at Albert Park next Wednesday to select a national squad for the World Cup qualifier in PNG from April 6-15, 2026.
Players aged between 15 – 18 years have been invited to attend the trial at 11am.
Rokoro also stated that the main goals for Cricket Fiji this year are to secure a piece of land to establish a cricket facility and office space, improve the global ranking of the team, and strengthen the domestic competition structure.
With these initiatives in place, the future looks bright for Cricket Fiji.
