LEADERSHIP is not just about power; it’s about serving others, says Education Minister Aseri Radrodro.

He told the Natabua High School cadet passing-out parade in Lautoka yesterday the Government and the people were proud of them.

“You showed up and trained in the rain and sun,” Mr Radrodro said. “And sometimes when you probably did not feel like it, but you kept going. That’s what commitment looks like.

“You have shown us that you can be trusted to lead, to be part of something bigger than yourselves, and to be put in hard work even when no one is watching.” Mr Radrodro said the cadet training process taught values like punctuality, respect and accountability, “values that will serve you for life”.

About 1100 students displayed a remarkable formation of a phoenix mythological bird — reflecting its resilient, undaunted and unstoppable spirit.

The Baton of Honour was awarded to parade commander and head boy Netani Kepa while the head girl, Shreya Shail, won the Outstanding Senior Cadet award.
