Lautoka rugby aims for comeback

After a tough loss to Naitasiri last week, Lautoka has regrouped and reset their mindset as they prepare to face neighbors Vinod Patel Ba tomorrow in round six of the Skipper Cup at Vinod Patel Park.

Head coach Peniona Ranitu said the side has worked hard this week and are ready to give their best.

“We are getting back on our preparation this week against Ba.

“We will go in as underdogs, we want to win but it will be tough it will be an uphill battle on Ba’s home soil,” Ranitu said.

He added that the defeat to Naitasiri pushed the team to do some soul searching.

“After losing to Naitasiri last week, it was unfortunate for us, but we are back this week doing some soul searching, setting our mindset right,” he said.

Ranitu confirmed Lautoka has no major injuries heading into the match and will field a strong side.

The clash is set to be a fiery battle as both sides look to stamp their mark in the Skipper Cup competition.
