Former Fiji Football Association technical director and Fiji under-20 coach, Ravinesh Kumar, will mentor the 4R Electric Lautoka FC side at the upcoming FMF Inter-District Championship (IDC) at Govind Park, Ba.

Kumar, Fiji’s only A-licenced coach, is no stranger to the Blues camp, having previously guided the team in major competitions.

His return is expected to bring technical depth and strong leadership as Lautoka eyes a return to IDC glory.

In other news, a Fiji FA statement stated that the Sugar City side will welcome back overseas-based players who are set to strengthen the squad with international experience.

These players include Solomon Islander Darold Kakasi, and Sterling Vasconcellos.

The Blues face a tough campaign in Group A, drawn alongside defending champions Labasa, Suva, and western rivals Nadi.

Lautoka’s fixtures will see them take on Suva on Tuesday, October 7, Labasa on Wednesday, October 8, and Nadi on Thursday, October 9.

All these matches are scheduled to begin at 6pm.
