THE father and son combination of Biren Kumar and Jerald Sharma are the favourites for the Ba Golf Club captain’s two player Ambrose event at the FSC Rarawai golf course on Sunday.
The duo have won a few Ambrose tournaments this year.
The club’s captain Sanjay Krishna said since no major golf event was on schedule for the Western Division on Sunday, a good turnout was expected.
He said only the junior golfers would be participating in a tournament at Denarau.
“Attractive prizes are up for stake and this will be the final big event at the FSC Rarawai course,” Krishna said.
“We are also trying to complete the 2015 Club Championship with the gold medal playoffs.
“Our members will support the upcoming Lautoka Open Championship. It will be a tight field for Sunday’s Ambrose event.
“Biren and Jerald are the top seeds. Avinash Datt and Shivneel Sharma of Natadola will form a strong combination.”
The tournament will tee off at 11.30am.
