Sailesh Kumar produced a stunning round to win the Meenoos-sponsored Monthly Medal at the Ba Golf Course on Sunday, finishing with a nett score of 62 to top the field.
Kumar’s consistency and composure on the course saw him finish ahead of some of the club’s top contenders in a competitive field that battled for honours across all grades.
Ba Golf Club captain Asish Chand, who also recorded the best overall gross score of 70 and claimed the longest drive, praised the winner’s performance.
“Sailesh played a brilliant round today. A nett 62 is a strong score on this course and shows how much work he’s been putting into his game. It’s great to see players stepping up with that kind of form,” Chand said.
In the graded categories, Ashwin Sharma took out the A Grade title with a nett 69, edging out Rajen Singh on countback, while Raven Kumar settled for third with 75 and also earned the Nearest to the Pin prize.
The B Grade saw another tie at the top, with Sunil Sharma and Christopher Daniel both returning scores of 68, but Sharma took the honours on countback. Dinesh Narayan followed closely with a 69.
In the C Grade division, Max Chand and Prakrit Naidu both carded 69s, with Max claiming first place. Yash Kumar placed third with 71.
