AUSTRALIA-BASED boxer John Krishna Jr is ready to fight Fiji’s Ronald Naidu in the Kiran Boxing Promotion on Saturday in Nadi.
Junior is the son of a former Fiji boxer and footballer John Krishna “Chotka”.
He will fight Naidu in the main supporting bout of the event.
Junior has fought nine bouts and won eight including three knockouts and a draw.
Junior’s father, Chotka said it would be an exciting bout.
“I thank Krishna Mudiliar for putting on the fight and giving us the opportunity to fight in his program,” he said.
“We have trained really hard for this fight and looking forward to a good battle on Saturday night.
“We are requesting all boxing fans to come down and show their support and to help revive boxing in Fiji.”
He further said they had prepared a plan for their opposition.
“We know that he is young (Naidu) and this is his big opportunity.
“We are prepared for that,” he added.
The bout will take place at Prince Charles Park in Nadi.
