Fiji football sensation Roy Krishna has set an ambitious goal of winning the OFC Pro-League with Bula FC. However, the 38-year-old acknowledges that it will not be an easy task, as all teams will be vying to win the tournament in its inaugural season.

To achieve this, Krishna is calling on fans to support the team, providing the much-needed motivation during their debut season.

“It won’t be easy to win the tournament as all teams have prepared really well and so have we, but yeah we just going to enjoy it,” he said.

“This is our first season, the first professional club in Fiji, so yeah we just ask that our supporters can come out in numbers to support the boys and be our 12th men.”

Krishna adds that Bula FC offers a long-term solution for young aspiring footballers who wish to pursue the sport as a career.

With the foundation laid as a system for young and upcoming talent, he is urging young footballers to seize this opportunity and pursue a football career in Fiji, an opportunity that he and many veteran footballers dreamed of early in their careers.

“Normally for us Fijians we don’t like to go away from home and go abroad because our families are not letting us, now it’s at home and it’s a good advantage and hopefully the young footballer can take up this opportunity,” Krishna explained.

The team continues their preseason at the Fiji Football Academy facility in Ba until the start of the season on 17 January.
