Seventeen-year-old swimming sensation Kelera Mudunasoko is set to lead Team Fiji into the 2025 Pacific Mini Games in Palau, proudly serving as the country’s flag bearer.

A gold medalist at the 2023 Pacific Games and current national record holder in multiple breaststroke events, Mudunasoko is no stranger to international competition.

The Natabua High School student, who hails from Lakeba in Lau with maternal links to Nadroga, balances her demanding training schedule with academic life, often waking up at 5am to train.

As she prepares to compete in the 50metres, 100m and 200m breaststroke, Mudunasoko says carrying the flag is both a huge honour and a dream come true.

Mudunasoko is Fiji’s youngest flag-bearer to any international competition so far.
