FORMER Fiji 7s forward Isake Katonibau will be a key man in the Army’s mission to retain the 2017 Suva Rugby Union Escott Shield when they play Breakthrough in the last quarter-final at the Bidesi Ground this afternoon.
Army manager Akeai Rokotakala said, “We will give our best and focus on Breakthrough as they have proved to be a good team and we rate them as one of the best teams in the competition,” he said.
“We are confident to defend our title. The players have been training well for the past few weeks with Kotonibau and we have a mixture of experienced players such as skipper Jovilisi Rokoiri leading the young players.”
Rokoiri said all the teams had prepared well.
“We have reach to the elimination rounds and it would be a very different ball game against Breakthrough,” he said.
The match kicks off at 2.40pm.
