A family court in Mumbai has granted divorce to actor Karisma Kapoor and Sunjay Kapur after it was informed about a settlement of mutual consent reached by the two.
Advocate Aman Hingorani said a fresh petition for mutual divorce was filed by Sunjay in December.
After the six-month mandatory period was fulfilled, the two on Monday filed consent terms and completed formalities of their divorce, Mr Hingorani said.
The couple had earlier informed the Supreme Court about having amicably resolved the matter and arrived at a mutual agreement on the terms of their separation.
Karisma had tied the knot with Kapur, a Delhi-based industrialist, in 2003.
