Suva Marathon Club ambassador Yeshnil Karan, a double gold medalist at the recent 2025 Pacific Mini Games in Palau, is confident that the highly anticipated Munro Leys Suva Marathon 2025 will showcase exceptional runners and provide a platform for young athletes to gain exposure.
The event, which includes a variety of race categories such as the Full Marathon – 42km, Half Marathon 21.1km, Rexona Road Race 10.55km, and Rexona Team Marathon 10.55km, is designed to attract a diverse range of running enthusiasts.
The 24-year-old from Tavua is eagerly anticipating the Munro Leys competition in Suva, expected to be a prominent running event this year featuring both elite runners and young talents.
Hosted by the Suva Marathon Club, this event stands for more than just a race; it embodies the essence of resilience, determination, and community unity.
“For me, running is a way of life. This race isn’t just about speed or endurance; it’s about testing your limits, embracing the journey, and inspiring others through your efforts,” said Karan.
“Every step I take on the track represents the hard work, dedication, and unwavering support from my family, my team, and the people of Fiji.
“I’ve previously competed in the Munro Leys Suva Marathon events, and those experiences have been instrumental in shaping me as an athlete.
“They’ve given me valuable exposure to high-level competition and have prepared me for running at international standards.
“I’m looking forward to pushing myself further this year and making Fiji proud.”
