Brigadier General Ro Jone Kalouniwai is the new commander of the Republic of Fiji Military Forces.
This appointment was announced yesterday on the Fijian Government official Facebook page.
President Jioji Konrote, on the advice of the Constitutional Offices Commission, also re-appointed Brigadier General Sitiveni Qiliho as police commissioner
. Commander Francis Kean was re-appointed Fiji Corrections Service Commissioner and Jeanette Emberson was appointed secretary-general to Parliament.
The appointments will be for a term of five years.
