Kalo Gold has confirmed that its Wainikoro prospect in Vanua Levu, Fiji, hosts a similar style of gold system as its nearby Aurum Prime discovery, located five kilometres to the northeast.

The company says geological mapping, soil sampling, alteration and geochemical analysis completed in September 2025 have revealed strong similarities between the two areas.

Key highlights from Wainikoro include historical trenching results such as 32 metres at 0.56 g/t gold, including 12 metres at 1.0 g/t, and 24 metres at 1.0 g/t gold, including 2 metres at 3.41 g/t.

Kalo Gold President and CEO Terry L. Tucker, P.Geo., said the latest findings further validate the company’s exploration model for the Nubu Graben.

“Our new mapping at Wainikoro has confirmed that this is the same geological environment that hosts Aurum Prime,” Mr. Tucker said.

“The preserved silica caps, vein textures, and clay-silica alteration at surface are diagnostic of a vertically intact epithermal system. Having now validated two separate epithermal complexes along the Nubu Graben demonstrates the district-scale gold potential of this structural corridor.”

He added that the abundance of preserved surface features at Wainikoro makes it a high-priority exploration area, alongside the company’s ongoing work at Aurum Prime.

“The Nubu Graben extends more than 30 kilometres, and both Wainikoro and Aurum Prime lie along this same structural trend.”

“These results reinforce our belief that we are exploring within a truly district-scale gold system.”

Kalo’s upcoming 2025–2026 Wainikoro work program will include expanded geological mapping, systematic trenching, and soil geochemistry.
