HUNDREDS of residents from Kalabu gathered at the Kalabu Fijian School for the Kalabu Bula Raraba outreach program today.
While officiating at the opening of the program Minister for Women, Children and Poverty Alleviation Mereseini Vuniwaqa acknowledged the foresight of the outreach committee to bring government services closer to their community.
She also stressed the importance for the staff of the Ministry to continue to carry out its work with love.
“I always tell my staff now the Government is looking for people who have necessary qualifications to work for the Government,” Mrs Vuniwaqa said.
“Yes this is also true for this Ministry however if a person does not carry out his or her duties with love and compassion her or she will not be able to fully carry out our duties and responsibilities.”
Various agencies including the Ministry of Health and Medical Services, Fiji Public Trustees , Social Welfare Department, Water Authority of Fiji ,Tertiary Scholarship and Loans Board , Ministry of Industry, Trade and Tourism had booths step up at the school to facilitate any need or queries the residents may have.
