ONE of the major production companies in Ba is expected to start work on a new project that will create employment opportunities.
Ba Industries Limited general manager Pramod Keshav said 2015 was a major year for the company.
“We have diversified and will be coming towards plastic manufacturing, which has got an investment of about $12 to $14million,” he said.
“This will be coming up in the next few months.”
Mr Keshav said it was highly likely that the new site of the project would be located in Ba.
“At the moment, this is basically based in our Ba premises and this will play a major role in the export market also because we see there is a huge potential in this sector.
“We have been exporting to all the major islands in the Pacific. However, Papua New Guinea has got a huge potential for export too.”
