Montpellier has secured the signing of Rupeni Caucaunibuca Junior, the talented son of former Flying Fijians winger Rupeni Caucaunibuca, for its academy.

The speedster of Naitasiri Secondary School made waves earlier this year by winning the prestigious 100m title at the Triple N Zone athletics meet in Fiji, displaying the same raw pace that made his father a global rugby sensation.

The 19-year-old showed an impressive performance at the Fiji Finals, numerous overseas clubs expressed interest in the young prospect.

However, Montpellier has emerged victorious in acquiring his services, banking on his potential and the legendary rugby genes he inherits from his father.

While Caucau Junior is still in the early stages of his development, many believe he possesses the natural speed and flair to follow in his father’s footsteps.

Rupeni Caucaunibuca Senior a former star winger for French clubs Agen and Toulouse, was known for his electrifying pace and impressive rugby skills.

Having begun his rugby journey at a young age and earning accolades for his performances, Rupeni Caucaunibuca paved the way for his son to potentially make a mark in the rugby world.
