It’s final, Michael Jennings will become a Bati later this month after head coach Wise Kativerata named the former Tonga and Australia international in his 21-member squad for the 2024 Pacific Bowl Championship.

The Vodafone Fiji Bati will face Papua New Guinea on October 19 and the Cook Islands on the 26th at the HFC Bank Stadium in Suva.

Jennings, who was approached by former Fiji Bati coach Joe Rabele at the 2021 Rugby League World Cup (RLWC2021), opted for Tonga and has agreed to represent Fiji this year.

Jennings, 36, who has links to Rotuma, is the oldest player named by Kativerata.

His 300 NRL games will be crucial for the young Bati side that will be captained by Tui Kamikamica.
