Jehovah’s Witness convention to draw 800 international delegates

A delegation of over 1,400 Jehovah’s Witness volunteers turned up today at the Vodafone Arena in Suva to clean-up the venue which will host their 3-day “Declare the Good News” Special Convention beginning tomorrow.

Traveling from as far as the Western division, volunteers left as early as 4am to be part of today’s clean-up.

“As we know our God is a clean God and we’re happy to clean this arena so we can all enjoy associating with our delegates in this convention,” said the Cleaning Coordinator of Jehovah’s Witnesses, Jone Roracola.

“These volunteers, they are not paid, they have given their time and possession to be here to get this Arena cleaned before the convention starts tomorrow.

The convention will welcome over 800 international delegates into the country.

Aside from the spiritual activities, delegates will also be visiting Yanuca island and will be taking part in a river tubing activity.

They also plan to attend an artesian show at the Pearl South Pacific resort.
