The Fijian Drua Board has appointed World Cup-winning Wallaby and seasoned sports executive Jeff Miller as the Club’s new Chief Executive Officer.
Mr Miller will take the helm in January 2026, succeeding current CEO Mark Evans, who completes his three-year term at the end of this year and will return to the United Kingdom.
Mr Miller brings decades of expertise to the role. He is a former Wallabies flanker with 26 international caps, including appearances in two Rugby World Cups and was part of the 1991 World Cup-winning team.
Post-retirement, he transitioned seamlessly into rugby administration, previously serving as CEO and President of the Queensland Rugby Union and a senior executive at Rugby Australia.
In addition to his rugby credentials, Mr Miller has an extensive background in the finance sector, having held senior roles at Investec, BOQ Specialist, Kooyong Group, and Avant Finance. He holds an MBA from the University of New South Wales.
Fijian Drua Chairman Brent Impey said Miller’s appointment reflects the Board’s vision for long-term success.
“Jeff’s arrival marks an exciting chapter for the Fijian Drua,” he said.
“His rare combination of rugby achievements and corporate leadership gives him the credibility and expertise to take our young Club to even greater heights.”
Mr Miller said he is honoured to lead a Club that has quickly become a symbol of national pride.
“The Fijian Drua represents the heart and spirit of Fijian rugby,” he said.
“I look forward to working with the Board, staff, players, and partners to deliver success for our fans and create strong pathways for the next generation of Fijian talent.”
Mr Miller’s appointment is seen as a strategic move to build on the Drua’s early momentum and strengthen its position as a world-class rugby organisation.
