In supporting local artisans and promoting sustainable growth, Jack’s of Fiji launched the opening of the Rise Beyond The Reef store on Port Denarau in Nadi on Tuesday.
Speaking at the grand opening, Jack’s of Fiji director Nikul Khatri said it marked an exciting chapter not only for the company but for the entire community.
“As we take one more step in supporting local artisans and promoting sustainable growth through this incredible partnership with Rise Beyond The Reef. Rise Beyond The Reef is more than just a brand, it’s a movement that connects Fiji’s rural women and communities with the global market, preserving traditional skills and craftmanship while creating economic opportunities,” Mr Khatri said.
He said they were proud to collaborate with such a visionary organisation that shared their commitment to uplifting communities.
“Especially our rural artisans, by showcasing their remarkable work here at Port Denarau. We are grateful to Rise Beyond The Reef for the partnership, and we are excited to bring their beautiful and ethical-made products to the forefront.
“These products tell the stories of the women, who have crafted them with love and dedication, and it is our privilege to help share these stories with the world.”
Minister for Women Lynda Tabuya acknowledged the company for providing access to products made by rural women in Rise Beyond The Reef, “while ensuring their incredible craftmanship and creativity are recognised and valued”.
“As we open this new store, we remember this is more than just a retail space, it is a platform for women and a platform for all the women of Fiji.”
Rise Beyond The Reef is a non-profit organisation that empowers rural indigenous women and their families in Fiji by designing ecologically, culturally, and socially conscious handmade goods and promoting climate-smart agriculture approaches.
