VODAFONE Fiji is now the first organisation in Fiji to successfully attain the esteemed ISO 27001:2022 certification.
This is highest internationally recognised certification for Information Security Management Systems (ISMS) and is a globally acknowledged benchmark that defines the stringent requirements for establishing, implementing, maintaining, and continually enhancing an effective ISMS.
In a statement released yesterday, Vodafone Fiji’s Chief Technology Officer Vikash Prasad said the certification recognises Vodafone’s commitment to ensuring digital data and information is protected.
“For Vodafone, as the leading telco in Fiji, having secure platforms, well defined processes and maintaining trust is paramount. In today’s digital age, information security is non-negotiable,” Mr Prasad said.
“Achieving this certification demonstrates our commitment to protecting data and information and providing a secure experience for those who choose Vodafone Fiji.”
He said that for them, the certification signifies a comprehensive and systematic approach to information security, and it validates that the company has established a framework of policies, procedures, and controls to manage information security risks effectively.
“The certification validates Vodafone’s investment in robust security measures, providing independent assurance that all digital data and information is protected using industry-leading practices.
“We are excited to continue delivering secure and reliable telecommunications and ICT services to our customers. Looking ahead, we will proactively enhance our security measures, embracing the evolving digital landscape with innovation and secure methodologies.”
Vodafone Fiji achieved ISO 27001:2022 certification through a rigorous independent audit, confirming their commitment to and compliance with data protection laws and regulations.
