FIJI has once again come in the limelight in the property sales business with another island property up for sale.
Concierge Auctions yesterday announced its upcoming auction of Navodo Bay, a secluded and self-sustaining Fijian compound located on 150 freehold acres with nearly a mile of sugar-sand private beach frontage on Vanua Levu.
It said currently listed for $US20million ($F42m) the estate would sell at or above $US8.8m ($F18m) on November 21 in co-operation with Philip Toogood of Bayleys Real Estate (Fiji) Ltd and would represent Concierge’s fourth Fijian property sold.
A statement from the auction company said Navodo Bay was considered among the locals as “a tropical crown jewel” and was accessible by boat or seaplane.
“When it comes to private tropical retreats in Fiji and across the South Pacific, nothing comes close to Navodo Bay. Created with passion, vision and a huge amount of expended energy, what was once a dense Fijian jungle is now a beautiful resort-style home, and more,” Mr Toogood said.
“We have never had such an uplifting and calming property to offer to a discerning global market.”
Concierge Auctions client services vice-president Sarena Irwin said they consistently sold premier island properties and had been active in the Fiji market since 2013.
“So I can say with educated knowledge that Navodo Bay is in a league of its own.
“The new owner has many options, including utilising the compound as a private getaway, a world-class holiday destination, or even a high-end retreat or tropical resort,” said Ms Irwin.
According to Concierge Auctions Navodo Bay had a 5000-square foot British Colonial residence with an ocean-facing verandah, with a great room for entertaining, a gourmet kitchen, an expansive master suite with an executive office, three en-suite bedrooms and an upstairs children’s retreat and a separate structure adjacent to the main house is used as game room/yoga studio.
It said Navodo Bay also included five traditional beachfront bure, each of these guest cottages offered a split-level plan with a sitting room.
