Police are continuing investigations after a student discovered 13 rounds of ammunition at the Nabua Topline Bus Stop.
In a statement, the Fiji Police Force said further inspections are required to determine the authenticity, functionality and origin of the items.
Authorities have not yet confirmed whether the ammunition is live or poses any risk, as examinations remain ongoing.
Meanwhile, the ammunition find reported on 21 April 26 has been linked to a military training.
Police said the blanks were confirmed by the Republic of Fiji Military Forces as ones used for a training exercise on the same day the report was received.
It has been confirmed that they were blanks and posed no threat to the safety of the public.
The ammunition has been handed back to the RFMF.
