In the name of sports

SCROLLING through The Fiji Times online to get the update of the Deans Coke Zero final played last week was one thing that I had looked forward to.

I had quickly sent a facebook update on my page wishing both the teams, RKS and Marist all the best in the games.

Having learned that RKS had taken the Deans Trophy back to Lodoni, a big congratulations to the team, parents and supporters of the team.

Marist, the team I had initially vouched for to win the tournament did equally well, judging from that close score.

It was yet another scrumptious sporting event and will continue this week with the Milo Kaji games, which is seen as an entry point for our budding ruggers into the world of rugby.

The same will be for netball, hockey and soccer that will be staged all around the country this week. Congratulations for developing sports for our youngsters.

At the end of the day it would be a huge triumph for sports in our nation.
