FIJI Water Flying Fijians Captain and former Queen Victoria School (QVS) U18 star, Tevita Ikanivere is confident that his old school QVS will win the 2024 Vodafone Super Deans competition.
Ikanivere, who has been entrusted with leading the Flying Fijians into their Pacific Nations Cup campaign starting on August 23 against Manu Samoa at HFC Stadium, showed no hesitation in predicting QVS’s victory.
“I know QVS will win the Deans,” he excitedly said.
As co-captain of the Fijian Drua, Ikanivere didn’t just share his confidence in QVS, but also extended words of encouragement to all competing teams.
He urged them to prepare diligently and deliver their best performances on the field.
“For the rest of the teams hope you prepare well and come and perform well on the field.
“To all the fans come out in numbers and support our secondary school boys and girls,” Ikanivere added.
Ikanivere ended his statement with a bold prediction, punctuated by a smile: “QVS will win.”
The school is the defending champion of the Deans Trophy.
