THE stage is set for a thrilling football showdown today as the semi-finals of the 2025 FMF Inter-District Championship (IDC) take place at 4R Stadium, Govind Park, Ba.
Following three rounds of exciting pool play, host team RC Manubhai Ba will clash with defending champions Extra Supermarket Labasa in the first semi-final at 2pm.
Both teams impressed in the group stages and are expected to deliver fireworks when they take the field.
Ba has been the crowd favourite throughout the tournament, but thousands of Labasa fans are expected to make the journey to Ba in support of their team.
“We request our fans to come out in numbers to support their Ba team,” said Ba Football Association president Praneel Dayal.
Labasa, who have dominated local football since last year, go into the semi-final as favourites.
However, they will be tested by a young Ba side that has won the hearts of many with their spirited performances.
The second semi-final, kicking off at 4.30pm, will see Stratum Construction Rewa take on Power Volt Suva.
“No team can be taken lightly,” said Rewa’s assistant coach Priyant Mannu.
