Outgoing Swire Shipping Fijian Drua fly-half Caleb Muntz is eyeing the opportunity to don the white jumper once more for the FIJI Water Flying Fijians when they have the July Tests.

Muntz embraced the possibility of being included in the team, as head coach Mick Byrne puts together the final selection of players to head into camp for the two Tests against the Wallabies and Scotland.

“As soon as I moved over from New Zealand to play 20s and stuff, the white jumper’s the main priority for me so I’ll be eager, hopefully to get into those July Tests because those are a couple of good games,” Muntz shared.

“Aussie (Australia) over there before their Lions Test and Scotland at home is a huge game. We haven’t had a tier one nation here in forever so I’m really trying to get that spot.”

He last played for the Flying Fijians last year during the Autumn International Tests, proving instrumental in their match against Wales, where they won 24-19 in a historic upset over the home team.

He was Player of the Match.

Meanwhile, Muntz shared those sentiments after the Fijian Drua defeated the Western Force 38-7 in their final home match at Churchill Park in Lautoka on Saturday.

The win at home was part of round 14 of the Shop N Save Super Rugby Pacific competition.
