Hundreds train for Spartan Fiji race

AS many as 100 attendees turned up at the Aviva Race Course in Sabeto, Nadi yesterday for the Spartan Fiji free training session.

According to Spartan Fiji Digital Marketing Manager Lia Garnett, all participants were really enthusiastic and excited to participate in the event.

“Some of the activities that they did include burpees, running, walking, weights, bucket carry, climbing over a wall, planks and lunges.

“The training session was fun for everyone. Spartan is a race that people from all ages and fitness levels can do.”

Garnett highlighted that they are less than 20 days away from the event and Fijians can sign up at http://www.fijispartan.com

“Anyone can come to Spartan. To race, to volunteer and to cheer the Spartans on, everyone is welcome and Spartan is for everyone.”

Earlier this week, Fiji Spartan also held a training session in Suva at the Thurston Gardens where over 100 people attended.

“The Spartan obstacles are on their way to Fiji as we speak,” she added.

The trainings were led by Olympian and Fiji Spartan ambassador Winston Hill and his team from BOXFIT HQ, Suva.

The Spartan Race, dubbed as the world’s best obstacle course event will be held at the Aviva Race Course in Sabeto, Nadi from November 10-12.
