Hundreds of people from different walks of life gathered at the Makosoi Methodist church in Pacific Harbour to pay their respect to former army commander and High Commissioner to the Papua New Guinea, Brigadier-General (Retd) Mosese Tikoitoga.
Delivering the eulogy on behalf of the Republic of Fiji Military Forces (RFMF) Brigadier General Apakuki Kurusiga said the late Tikoitoga was a dedicated senior officer of the RFMF.
“He was a true leader and his dedication speaks volume of the character he holds dearly,” he said.
Tikoitoga’s older sister, Angelin, said his death came too soon.
“I shouldn’t be laying you to rest; it should be the other way around. I miss you and I love you,” she said.
The late Tikoitoga is survived by his wife, Jiu Saukuru Tikoitoga and three children.
