Hundreds of families gathered at the Damodar City carpark in Suva on Saturday for the Fijian Broadcasting Corporation’s “Nonstop Holi Masti”, celebrating the vibrant Hindu festival of Holi.

The annual event, organised by FBC’s Hindi radio stations, brought together people of all ages to enjoy music, colour throwing and festive entertainment in a lively atmosphere.

Holi, widely known as the Festival of Colours, Love and Spring, holds deep cultural and religious significance in Hindu tradition. The celebration symbolises the triumph of good over evil and the arrival of the spring season.

The festival is also a time for renewal and reconciliation. Traditionally, it encourages people to let go of past mistakes, mend broken relationships and move forward with forgiveness and goodwill.

Families, friends and supporters dressed in colourful clothes took part in the colourful celebrations, marking one of the most joyful festivals observed by Hindus in Fiji and around the world.
