Staff members of three FNPF-owned IHG Fiji Hotels have launched a SHAVE IT OR SAVE IT fundraising campaign to raise $40,000 for WOWS Kids Fiji, a well-known charity dedicated to providing support for families with children living with cancer and raising awareness of child cancer issues in Fiji.
The charity campaign was birthed by 19 staff members of InterContinental Fiji Golf Resort & Spa, Grand Pacific Hotel and Holiday Inn Suva. Should the campaign successfully raise the target $40,000, they will shave their heads in support of those battling cancer.
FNPF Owned IHG Hotels & Resorts Portfolio general manager, Lachlan Walker said, “This reaffirms our commitment to positively impacting the lives of the people in our community, especially children battling cancer and their families”.
“WOWS Kids Fiji does incredible work to raise awareness for child cancer and support families of cancer sufferers in Fiji.
“We are grateful to members of our team who are committed to achieving our fundraising target by the end of October.”
The campaign boasts a dedicated team of participants across all departments of the three hotels, including the IHG Management team, department heads and team members, all passionate about making a difference.
These 19 participants are IHG superheroes determined to raise funds for this incredibly worthy cause.
Co-Founder of WOWS Kids Fiji Sina Kami said, “We are deeply grateful for the support of colleagues from FNPF-owned IHG Fiji Hotels as they embark on the SHAVE IT OR SAVE IT campaign.”
“Their commitment reflects the spirit of unity and compassion that drives us to provide essential support to children and families facing the challenges of childhood cancer. Together, we can make a significant impact and bring hope to these young warriors.”
