SELF-SERVICE check-in and check-out kiosk is now available at the Holiday Inn in Suva, the first of its kind in Fiji.
In a statement, the hotel said it has launched a self-service kiosk station to provide guests with an additional option to manage their arrival and departure more efficiently.
“Using the kiosk, guests can complete key check–in or check–out steps digitally, allowing for a faster and more streamlined process, particularly during peak periods,” it stated.
“The self-service kiosk operates on a cashless basis and accepts local and international credit cards, including Visa and Mastercard, with alternative payment options available through the front office.”
The introduction, it added, reflected broader changes in traveller behaviour, with guests increasingly seeking convenience and choice, while still valuing warm and attentive hospitality.
“For Holiday Inn Suva, the initiative aligns with the brand’s long–standing commitment to providing dependable, welcoming and accessible stays that adapt to how people travel today.”
The project was led by Akshay Chand, portfolio director of Information Technology, who was recently recognised with the Rising Star Award at the 2025 ANZ Fiji Excellence in Tourism Awards for his contribution to innovation within the sector.

“The introduction of a self–service kiosk at Holiday Inn Suva reflects this approach. Led by Akshay Chand in collaboration with the hotel team, the project demonstrates how practical innovation can enhance flexibility and efficiency for guests, while enabling our colleagues to focus more time on delivering meaningful and personalised hospitality.”
The self service check-in and check-out kiosk (pictured above) is now available in the hotel lobby and complements existing arrival and departure services.
