TANOA Plaza Hotel honoured its staff for their hard work, commitment and sacrifices in the past year.
Speaking at the event, general manager Mere Rakoroi said the evening was about the staff, who were their greatest pillar in making hospitality happen every single day.
“After a year of long hours, missed holidays, and unwavering dedication, it was time to celebrate the people who give Tanoa its heart,” she said.
“Through every challenge, our team showed resilience, professionalism, and heart. This celebration is our way of saying: we see you; we thank you, and we honour you.”
In a statement, the hotel said the event was part of a group-wide tradition across all Tanoa Hotels in Fiji and the Pacific, marking the close of 2025 with gratitude and joy.
“Staff were treated to a vibrant night of entertainment, food, beverages, and gift exchanges, with laughter echoing through the hotel as colleagues came together not just as coworkers, but as family,” the statement read.
“From the front desk to the kitchen, from housekeeping to management, every team member was recognised for their role in delivering excellence throughout the year.
“Tanoa Plaza Hotel’s end-of-year celebration was more than a party, it was a tribute to the spirit of hospitality, the strength of teamwork, and the deep appreciation for the people who make it all possible.”
Meanwhile, the hotel also hosted its annual Tanoa Kaachi Day, a signature event dedicated to celebrating the children of hotel staff through a day of fun, discovery and connection.
“This tour was about more than showing off our facilities, it was about helping families understand the sacrifices our team makes every day,” added Ms Rakoroi.
“It was a proud moment for our staff to share their world with their children, especially the long hours, missing festive seasons, and time away from loved ones.”
