A NUMBER of staff members at the Labasa Hospital have been charged for allegedly stealing batteries from the hospital’s CT scan room.
This was confirmed by Health Ministry permanent secretary Dr Jemesa Tudravu who revealed the alleged incident occurred in July this year.
“This incident was reported immediately to the police who conducted their investigation and a number of staff of the hospital have been implicated,” he said.
Police confirmed the matter was before the court.
