INDIA-BASED female professional boxer Aarti Hoodha is hyped and ready to face off against local boxer Laite Nanovu in the lightweight division of the upcoming Stratum Construction ZEG Kings Boxing Promotion on Saturday.
Originally from Rohtak, India, the 25-year-old fighter is eager to continue her winning streak as she enters her third professional bout.
Despite facing fierce competition, Hoodha remains confident in her abilities and is determined to secure another victory. On the other hand, Nanovu, Hoodha’s opponent for the match, is also gearing up for her third fight.
Although she has faced setbacks in her previous matches, Nanovu is determined to clinch her first win on Saturday. In anticipation of the upcoming fight, Hoodha has been diligently preparing both mentally and physically drawing on her nine years of boxing experience.
“My preparations have been well, I have been fighting for almost nine years, and I’m looking forward to step in the ring on Saturday,” said Hoodha.
Reflecting on her opponent, Hoodha acknowledges Nanovu’s skills and views her as a formidable challenger.
“My opponent is a good boxer, and I will try my best to win this fight.”
She credits her family, particularly her father, for supporting her passion for the sport and encouraging her to overcome societal barriers that can hinder female participation in boxing. The highly anticipated event will be held at Vodafone Arena in Suva.
